The sailing ship Vega has a long-standing tradition as a charter vessel and is also fully equipped for extended expeditions.

A Century-Old Sailing Ship
Built in 1908 at Ring Andersen Shipyard in Denmark, the S/S Vega originally transported goods along the Swedish coast as a “Baltic Trader. ”
Today, she is considered one of the most robust steel ships of her size in Norway. Following a major rebuild in 1999 and several extensive upgrades in recent years, Vega now stands as a beautifully restored vessel with excellent sailing capabilities and modern amenities for charter trips.

With generous space both outdoors and indoors, Vega features a spacious aft deck that offers spectacular views. In rainy weather, a canopy is set up to maintain comfort and atmosphere without compromising the view.

An Expedition Ship
Known as an environmental ship, Vega is also fully equipped for expeditions. In recent years, she has embarked on extended voyages to the Caribbean, Scotland, and along the Norwegian coast.

She meets all safety and equipment standards set by the Norwegian Maritime Authority and is fitted with a watermaker, modern communication systems, and everything needed for long ocean crossings.
