TROLLCRUISE AS GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
- Boat hire: includes the vessel, crew, serving staff, port fees, insurance and fuel. The boat hire is based on hourly charter. The hourly rate is calculated from the time the boat is booked, minimum five hours, until the last guest has disembarked. For departures from locations other than the home pier, a 0.5-hour repositioning charge applies. In the event of extraordinary changes in the fuel market, including commercial or geopolitical circumstances, regulatory changes, or force majeure-like events, the supplier reserves the right to introduce or adjust a fuel surcharge based on prevailing market prices at the time of delivery.
- Menu: All vessels follow the printed menu of the current year. For evening events, at least one main course per person must be ordered unless otherwise agreed in advance. No later than eight days before the event, a binding food order and a binding number of participants must be received by us. This order is binding for the customer and will form the basis for the final invoice.
- Beverages: Due to licensing regulations, it is not permitted to bring your own alcoholic beverages to any of our events. Customers are asked to inform their guests of this in advance. The licensing manager is required by law to check guests upon arrival, and anyone visibly intoxicated will be refused boarding. Beverages listed on the wine lists are available in stock and do not require pre-ordering. If other wines are desired, or if you expect an unusually high consumption of a specific wine, we must receive a binding order with brand and quantity no later than eight days before the event.
- Music: A sound system with moderate volume is available at the event location and can be operated in cooperation with the customer. Live music, such as bands or accordion players, is not included in the price, but we are happy to assist with bookings upon request.
- Departure/arrival locations: Our vessels have fixed berths at Rådhusbrygge 4 and Akershusutstikkeren. If you wish to embark or disembark at other locations in the fjord, this can normally be arranged. However, we cannot accept financial liability if the chosen pier is physically unavailable due to other vessels, or weather, wind or ice conditions. Port fees may apply at these locations and will be charged to the customer. For pick-up or drop-off at locations other than our fixed piers, half an hour of hire is charged for repositioning. If more than fifteen minutes of preparation time is needed before departure, this must be agreed in advance. Minimum start-up hire for transport is 2.5 hours.
- Booking, accepted order confirmation and deposit: Together with the email confirmation, all customers receive an invoice for a deposit, which will be deducted from the final invoice after the event. For the customer, the booking becomes binding once the deposit is paid. Deposit payments are considered a signed contract. For Trollcruise AS, the booking becomes binding only when we have received the deposit.
- Cancellations: We fully understand that cancellations may be necessary due to unforeseen circumstances. However, such changes cause direct economic loss for us, especially during our short and busy season. We therefore ask that cancellations are made well in advance.
Cancellation more than two months before the event date: Half of the deposit is refunded.
Cancellation between two months and thirty days before the event: The customer is invoiced for the booking deposit, which is not refundable.
Cancellation less than thirty days before the event: The full boat hire must be paid.
Cancellation eight days or less before the event: The customer will be invoiced for all pre-ordered items, including food, beverages and services, and a revenue compensation of NOK 250 per agreed passenger (plus VAT).
Reduction in number of participants less than eight days before the event: All pre-ordered items must be paid in full. A revenue compensation of NOK 250 per absent passenger also applies.
Cancellation due to unforeseen events (force majeure): If the event cannot be carried out due to circumstances beyond the control of the organiser, such as natural disasters, war or strikes, the same conditions apply as for cancellations less than thirty days before the event.
Interruption of the event: If the event must be terminated because guests do not comply with alcohol regulations or onboard rules, the vessel will return to port. In such cases, all pre-ordered items will be invoiced in full, and a revenue compensation of NOK 250 per passenger (plus VAT) will apply.
Cancellation due to pandemics: As a responsible organiser, we ensure that events are conducted according to applicable infection control regulations. If national or municipal restrictions make it impossible to carry out the event safely, both the organiser and the customer may cancel without financial consequences for either party.
- Minimum number of participants: Our prices require a minimum number of participants. S/S Legend minimum 100 guests – S/S Vega minimum 40 guests – Electric Yacht Oslofjord minimum 100 guests – M/S Freikoll minimum 15 guests. If the number of participants is lower, a revenue compensation of NOK 250 per absent guest (excluding VAT) will be charged.
- Limitation of liability: Trollcruise AS and our partners hold all required licenses and insurance. However, Trollcruise cannot accept responsibility for lost or forgotten items. Insurance terms require us to disclaim liability for loss of life, personal injury or damage to property where permitted under the Maritime Code chapter 6, or other losses due to accidents or operational interruptions. Otherwise, liability limitations follow the Maritime Code chapter 10.
- Weather reservation: We cannot accept weather-related reservations. All vessels have both indoor and outdoor areas. An event in poor weather can be just as successful as one in sunshine. Outdoor events will always be influenced by the weather. Open vessels and sailing ships are the most exposed; during heavy rain, guests may get wet. Wooden decks, especially in summer when they dry out, are not watertight during sudden weather changes. Significant leakage must therefore be expected during heavy rain.
- Payment: You may choose whether the entire event, including beverages, is invoiced, or whether beverages should be fully or partly paid for individually by the guests. The invoice sent after the event, minus the deposit, is due upon receipt. If payment is not received within ten days from the invoice date, interest of 1% per commenced month will be charged.
- Photography: Trollcruise AS takes photos during its trips. These are used for promotional purposes and published on our website. Customers may download them. If this is not accepted, it must be stated in the contract.
- For events on 1 May and 17 May, an additional fee of NOK 1750 per hour applies.
- Trips after midnight incur an additional fee of NOK 1250 per hour.
- We reserve the right to move bookings to any vessel (or another suitable location) if deemed necessary by the company.
